Romantically nicknamed the College by the Sea or sometimes called simply “Aber”, the University of Aberystwyth was once University College Wales and is located in the beautiful coastal town of Aberystwyth in Wales in the UK. There are seventeen colleges and approximately 13,000 students. The college rates very highly for student satisfaction and its academic reputation gains strength each year. Probably the most famous of Aberystwyth's former students is HRH Prince Charles, The Prince of Wales and first in line to the throne in the UK.
